Monochrome Stripes In Rebecca Minkoff

I’m a sucker for a flippy skirt. Yes, a flippy skirt. Perhaps because I associate this humble garment with warm summer nights, tanned skin and good times where I had nowhere to be but in that moment…

Skirts are often my starting piece for an entire outfit. A great skirt makes a lot of impact on its own, and simply finishing your look off with basics will let the skirt do all the talking.

Here, I have tried to accentuate the striped pattern of my Rebecca Minkoff skirt by pairing it with a simple black tee and ankle boots. But whether you play with patterns, or opt for a something with textural detail like lace, pleats or fastenings, a statement skirt will be that familiar friend in your wardrobe that has your back when you have T-minus 2 minutes to be out the door.

Check out my post“1 Skirt, 3 Ways” for three easy looks.
